Glossy lipstick-red side table

Remember these red kitchen stools I was crushing on?  Well, if you've been reading a while, you know those didn't quite work out.  However, I was still inspired by red.  In fact, I decided to spice up my bedroom with it!  Here's the result:

As you can see, this side of the room left a bit to be desired.

In addition to hanging ceiling medallions on the wall as art, I thought we needed a bit of color too.  So I turned this boring black side table into something much more exciting!

Here's the before:

And here are a few views of the after, with different vignettes atop the table:

This was a simple paint project, with no clean-up!  I sprayed a couple coats of gray spray primer, then several coats of Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover spray paint in Gloss Apple Red.  I plan to use a gloss spray poly to protect the finish, but I was too eager to take photos to get that done yet.

Did you spy something else in the "after" shots?  I thought I'd give you a sneak peek!

Hollie

Very cool! Love that fun pillow too. The high gloss makes it look really high end.

Oh goodness that red is amazing! Did you try the top right vignette with the elephant instead of the little box? I love that top right combo but that elephant is too cute... has to go somewhere.

Love all that color added. Funny I am not using the same red stools anymore either. Just not the right red for me. Thanks for sharing at Wow.
