Recipe: Homemade CFA Nugget Sliders

Wanted to share with you a tasty new treat we made on Super Bowl Sunday:

Homemade CFA Nugget Sliders!

Yum-my!  It all started with this photo I found on Pinterest.  Have you pinned it too?

They're called Sweet Chicky Nuggets, by My Name is Snickerdoodle.  She posted it on her blog almost a year ago as part of her Fabulous Food Friday series, and it's been blowing up on Pinterest since.  She revisited it with some reader questions answered on January 20 of this year, and it's continuing to make the rounds as Pinterest gains more and more users.  After all, it's a Chick-fil-A knockoff recipe, and who doesn't like CFA's chicken?

I was looking through the recipes I have pinned to my board, trying to find something appetizer-y for Super Bowl Sunday.  I knew this would be a winner with my family, although I wanted a little something more than just the nuggets.  One of the commenters on the original post suggested using Sister Schubert's Parker House rolls with the nuggets to create something similar to CFA's Chick-n-Minis.  That was just the inspiration I needed!

We followed Snickerdoodle's recipe to a tee, then tucked two of the hot and fresh nuggets inside a warm and toasty roll.  Add mayo and pickle to give it authentic CFA flavor.  Oh, nom nom!

Be sure to let me know if you give it a try!
