Yes, you can always re-paint a room. But these designs require a lot more work than just a little cutting in and rolling, so you'd want to keep them for a long time!

Floors
You can lay wood planks on your floor in a chevron pattern if you want to make a statement with your floor. Nancy at shared several photos that you should check out, including this one. Gorg!

You could also employ regular straight-plank wood floors but use stain to create a chevron pattern. This example gives the effect of a rug.
